Mark Francis Raised in a Christian home in Williamsburg, VA, Mark enjoyed the everyday worship he received while attending Christian school. It wasn’t until college, at Wake Forest University, when he began to develop his musical abilities. His musical and worship career was initiated as he planned and led the Baptist Student Union services on campus. He moved to St. Louis, MO after graduating, and refined his musical skills at Gateway Christian Church by playing acoustic guitar, drums and singing back-up vocal for the Sunday morning praise band. Mark and his wife, Erika, also got involved with the Gateway Christian youth and he led their youth band for over 1 1/2 years. In 2000, Mark and Erika moved to Winchester, VA and helped lead the ConneXion young adult ministry. Young adult ministry continued to be a passion for Mark, as he initiated the creation of the community-wide young adult ministry, CrossLink, in 2006. In 2007, Mark joined the Worship Planning Team at FBC, where he enjoys the creative process of crafting the worship service. In 2009, Mark launched his first CD, “Holy Offering”. |
